Biddlecombe Bird Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

dartymoor: It does sound like this one is either in a poor state, or missing entirely. I'm not going to be able to service it any time soon, so archiving. This was originally a Chirp cache 6 or 7 years ago, until the chirp disappeared, then a puzzle on a signpost until that got destroyed, then republished as a traditional five years back.

Thanks to all who've searched.

Geocache Description:

Just off a little used footpath near to an Iron Age hillfort (Castle Dyke).

This path probably served as a farm worker's route twixt Biddlecombe to Chudleigh at one time, although some of the stonework edging the path suggests it was made to a good standard.

(Note footpath sign at top has been removed, but the path starts at the parking waypoint)
