Geocache Description:

This is a series based on the ancient Irish townland system and while the places chosen may seem a little random, they all mean something to me.

A magnetic nano with only a log so BYOP. Parking is available near GZ as long nobody is using the car park. Please return exactly where found.

The Townland of Marlacoo More is in the Parish of Mullaghbrack in the Barony of Oneilland West in The County Of Armagh.
The name probably comes from the Gaelic name 'Marla cuadh mór ' which means 'Big Marly Hollow'.
It measures 401.41 acres making it the 213th largest townland in County Armagh.
It is bordered by Aghory, Ballyloughan, Ballynewry, Drumnamether, Magherydogherty and Marlacoo Beg.

Marlacoo More has been chosen because it has been my source of employment for nearly twenty years! Mason's mill is just over the hill from GZ and I started there in 1996 driving a small lorry doing deliveries for a few years. Then I was in the mill making the animal feed for a few years and then into the office as Quality Controller. I'm only there now on a Saturday morning now while I'm studying at IBC but its still a big part of my life. I had my fair share of bad days and nightmare days like any other job but on the whole, I have loved working there and have made some really good friends as well.
