Geocache Description:

A little bonus cache for those of you heading up to SCBC 2 Altitude Cache , the highest point in Berkeley County.

The cache is keeping and eye on the trail. Less than 150ft off the trail, it is tucked in a living tree down low and out of the rain.

Hopefully he is hidden well enough that our native black bears won't find him. Please do the same and hide him well. Lots of hikers past this way.

Many black bears call Sleepy Creek WMA there home. Along wth lots of other critters. I placed this cache with snow on the ground and I was amazed at the number of different types of tracks I came across.

Black Bears ? ... some of you are saying, he is just saying that to make the cache sound interesting. I live at the base of this mountain and the pic at the left was a visitor's to our back yard. That picture can look deceiving, but its real. Look closely, I measured, the bottom of the bird feeder is 7 feet off the ground, making that bear 7 ft tall. He could easily raise his arms to 8ft.

So .... as you heading just up this trail to SCBC 2 Altitude cache, keep your eyes and hears open, maybe you will see our visitor.
