A stroll around Spanner Alley as named by us as children, known locally as the lane, we used to play, seek and collect golf balls as treasure we had many bases along this route, the walk to the cache goes past the school playing field looking out over Coventry lane and Trowell.
In heavy rain the field and path are prone to flooding, and the paths can get muddy,on nice days the hedgerows are full of finches and song Care has been taken to place caches away from school playing field and out of view of houses,
Spanner Alley had great trees to climb and easy access to the Golf course to retrieve lost balls, we had a stash of them in one of our tree bases.
Much Spannering around and fun was had !
The Cache was designed and made by my snail mad 5 year old,
Avoid before and after school times as the route is popular with children.
This route leads to Bramcote Park where the woodland trail is a really good series.
