Sheridan Drive-In Traditional Cache

The Sheridan Drive-In was our first logged find and was recently archived. We didn't have a GPS when we found it and used google earth from our home computer. Phone apps weren't an option yet either. Located only a few feet from the guardrail hide is our version of this hide in remembrance of our start in this very fun sport.

The Sheridan actually had two incarnations; the original theatre, built in 1950, was replaced in 1957 when the I-190/I-290 Interchange forced the drive-in to be reloacted more than 1,000 feet further east on Ensminger Drive. The new Sheridan Drive-in would boast an indoor seating area where you could watch the movie, a larger snackbar, and a CinemaScope screen reputed to be one of the largest in the northeast.
