Pheasants: A Park and Grab Series Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ca$h*Ninja: Came out to archive the series and was surprised to find not only the cache missing, but the beacon itself. For the best anyways, Park and Grabs are not what I wish to be known for.

Geocache Description:

Pheasants: A Park & Grab Series

This is a small park and grab series to commemorate the many dogs I’ve grown up with over the years and the many animals I’ve hunted with them. Some of these caches are placed near private property and some near public hunting grounds, but all are accessible and along public roadways.

This is a stretch of County owned land that I still use today for hunting pheasants. When I was growing up we had several bird dogs over the years. A Springer Spaniel (Teddy Bear), a couple of German Shorthair Pointers (Mitchell) (Sam) (Ginger), and a Black Labrador Retriever (Echo). Mitchell was our number one hunter for many years. We went on many bird runs and were successful as the years went on. Sam and Ginger were from the same litter (Mitchell’s offspring) and both shared a heart condition that lead to their early and unfortunate deaths. Echo eventually developed cancer and had to be put down. Teddy Bear was a house dog, but with hunter instincts. She was probably the most intelligent dog I have ever seen, but she frustrated my father on several occasions because no matter how many times he took her out, she would only ever hunt for me.
