What could be better on Flat Top Mesa than to name a geocache after a famous flat top.
The USS Yorktown (CV-5) was severly damaged in the Battle of the Coral Sea on May 8, 1942. She put in to Pearl Harbor for repairs and then, after only 48 hours in dry dock, she set sail for the Battle of Midway. She ran out of luck on June 7, 1942 and was sunk in that epic sea battle.
