Bourbeuse River Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ScottinMO: With sadness, I am archiving this cache. The stump that it was in was destroyed in the last flood. Half of it is now gone, exposing the interior area where the cache was hidden.

Geocache Description:

Plastic locking lid box with room for small items. Original contents include swag for kids, a pencil, a logbook and an non-activated geobug for the first cacher. My kids picked out the items for the cache, so they should be good ones for other kids.

Permission granted through SUP with the Missouri Department of Conservation. Please replace exactly the way you found it.

The Bourbeuse River flows from west of this area to the Meramac River. Park in the designated parking lot and follow the trail leading from the parking lot or along the river. It is a short walk to the cache with a small amount of bushwhacking needed. There are places to stop and dip your feet in the water if you like or bring a fishing pole and relax for a bit. During the spring you will find migrating birds here too, so don't forget those binoculars. With this being a wooded area along a river, the mosquitoes can be quite the nuisance.

Congratulations to Ry-Guy for the ftf.
