The Cross Canyon Trail seems to get a reasonable amount of use and is not badly maintained. I thought this section near the bottom of the canyon is really lovely. Especially this time of year, with many wildflowers blooming and the creek babling.
If you plan to hike the full length of the valley, be forewarned, there are quite a few creek crossings and places where the trail is right next to the creek. The day I hid these caches there was some water in the creek, but it wasn't a lot, and we still got the outsides of our boots wet. If we'd not been wearing water resistant boots our feet would have been wet too.
I'm dedicating this cache to WERDAVE. While he didn't start hiding caches in Coe as early as CKayaks, AlphaRoaming or Geokashers, once he did start hiding he has gotten all over the places leaving lots of caches to lure folks into the parks. Not just Coe, but in lots of parks in the region around San Jose. I've now found more caches hidden by WERDAVE than any other cacher. Thanks WERDAVE!
