Twelveheads is a small village, south west of City of Truro, it is rich in minning history, the name Twelveheads this unusual name is referring to the shafts of fomer tin mines whose chimneys and engine houses still punture the skyline, The organ in this Church is a fine looking musical instrument and sounds very good, you can hear it if you go to Youtube and search the Church, The organ was installed here in about 1981-82 it came from Pegelly Chapel Delabole, it replaced a smaller one that went to a Church in Paignton Devon. Billy Bray the well known Methodist Preacher was born and died in Twelveheads 1794 - 1868, he first worked down the Tin mines, he helped build Billy Brays Chappel Baldu, his most famous quotation , If they were to put me in a barrel I would shout glory out through the bunghole.
