A couple of years ago, while tromping around the edges of Leawood Park, I came across this long-forgotten sign. I was quite surprised to find it and had no idea that this activity was once allowed in this part of the city. This section of I-435 was opened in 1969, so I'm guessing this sign is from that era.
If any intrepid cachers know more of the related history of this park, let me know and I'll add it here.
The cache is near the sign and is an experimental design. Please make sure to close both lids well after you are done. Difficulty was originally listed as 2.5, was adjusted to 3.0, and is now finalized at 3.5 based in part from feedback including, "I wanted to kick you in the shins." Your experience of difficulty may vary depending upon conditions and your luck.
The cache is NOT on or in the sign. Please do not tamper with the sign or damage it. You don't need to touch the sign. I've made repairs to it once already.
Lastly, please do not post any spoilers or hints in your logs. If you do, I will delete your log and ask you to republish your log with less information. Good luck and have fun!
