[LT] Raktuvės koplyčia – pasak istorikų tyrimų prielaidų, Raktuvės piliakalnio papėdėje nuo I tūkstantmečio pr. iki ankstyvųjų viduramžių pr. (X-XIII a.) buvo įsikūrusi gana didelė žiemgalių gyvenvietė. Spėjama, kad Raktuvės piliakalnyje buvo žemgalių pilis Raktė, kurią kryžeiviai kelis kartus puolė, o 1289 m. sudegino. Šiuo metu ant piliakalnio stūkso Raktuvės koplyčia – medinės liaudies architektūros statinys, pastatytas 1738 m. XVIII a. piliakalnio aikštelėje buvo atidarytos Žagarės miestelio katalikų kapinės. Piliakalnio pylimo kampe – nedidelė stulpinės konstrukcijos varpinė. Dabar koplyčioje įrengta senosios kryždirbystės eksponatų ir fotografijų ekspozicija ,,Sakralinės kalvystės paminklai Žagarėje“.
[EN] The mound of Rakte or Raktuve is situated on the right hand side of the river Svete, in the western part of Zagare town. The castle of Rakte stood on the mound. The length of the mound is 95 meters, the width – 43 meters. People lived there in the 1st – 13th centuries. The mound was first mentioned in the chronicle in 1198 as Racken or Rackette. The Teutonic Knights attacked the mound several times, and in 1289 they burnt the castle. Since 19th century the hill has been used as a cemetery. A wooden chapel was built on the top of the hill later. The chapel of Raktuve was built in 1796. It is the wooden building of the folk architecture. In the 19th century in the middle of the mound square the town's cemetery of the Roman Catholic were established. In the corner of the mound there is a small belfry.
