If urban micros and park & grabs do not grab you but you are not able to spend half a day hiking over mountains, this one is for you.
A short walk in a quiet park in a scenic setting.
Camps Bay may be famous for its pristine white sandy blue flag beach, trendy restaurants, fancy homes and cool people, but it also has some beautiful, tranquil, well preserved, public open spaces.
This pretty strip of nature and wetland surrounds the sports field named after a prominent keen sportsman resident of Camps Bay in the early 1900s. The field is currently leased by council to the local primary school and it features sweeping views of the Twelve Apostle mountains and Atlantic ocean.
Recommended parking is in Ingleside Road (the trail starts at the top of the play park) or the Symmonds Field dedicated parking area. The field is not fenced off and is often used by the public but please keep in mind it is private property.
The cache is a screw top container suitable for TBs and swaps and the walk to it is on a short well defined path.
