During the day, if you look towards the railroad, you will see trains either going by, or sitting there, idling. The main reason why they would be sitting there is because the train needs to be recrewed. There is a time limit of hours a train crew can be on duty, therefore, if the current crew is going to be over timewise, this is a popular spot where the train crew would swap with the fresh crew.
