OFLG #10: Doom Traditional Cache

Another series of Team Norac Geocaches! These ones start along the McMahon Nature Trail and continue down the Hillside Family Rider Snowmobile trails to ITS87. These trails are open to hiking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, skiing, horseback riding, and dog sledding. No knowledge of any video games are required to find these caches; they are consistent with our other hides.

Now, the game industry is just as big as the other entertainment media, with its own big-time gamemakers and indie developers. This series is meant to celebrate great video games of all kinds, from all times. Let's get to it!

Doom was a horror-themed first-person shooter released in 1993 for PC. Developed by id Software, it was very popular and well-recieved at the time, and helped usher in the popularity of the first-person shooter. The FPS is today one of the most dominant video game genres, in terms of titles sold. A sequel is set for release this year (2016).
