Bethany Cemetery, established 1850, is located in Marion Co., 2 miles west of Silverton, Oregon. It's bordered on the north side by Hazelgreen Road, on the south by Brush Creek Road, on the east by tall firs and by pasture on the south. Bethany is a small community consisting of, besides the cemetery, a school and small grocery/antique store. A church was organized in 1851, and eventually built near the cemetery but is no longer there.
