Covered bridges aren't very common in California but there are three in Humboldt County. This cache was placed simply to entice you to come out and see one for yourself.
Berta's Ranch Covered Bridge is located off Elk River Road on your way out to the Headwaters Forest. It was built in 1936 and is 52' long. While I encourage you to walk across and explore the bridge, there is no need to do that to find the cache. It is in an easy park and grab spot. Quite a few people live nearby so traffic can be brisk at times; please don't block the road!!!
