. This small cache is beside the A7 at Skippers Bridge
located on the Skippers Bridge and is a small cache, you will need to bring your own pencil. The Skippers Bridge was built between 1693-1700; widened to N circa 1807. 3 unequal segmental arches spanning River Esk (outer arches for flood relief - westmost arch the smallest). Squared rubble with ashlar voussoirs and pointed cutwaters either side. Corbel table on (original) S elevation stepped over arches; pilaster strips at N over cutwaters. Parapets 19th century and splayed at approaches.
