We all know that geocachers are a little bit 'Cuckoo' (Well, why else would we drop everything to hunt for a bit of tupperware in the bushes - even in the middle of the night?) so I thought that it would be a good idea to have an event to celebrate this.
April 14th is known as St Tiburtius' Day and is traditionally when you will hear the first cuckoo of Spring (Though we are active all the year round).
To celebrate this, we are going to have an evening of fun, crafts and games - for both kids & kids-at-heart in the upstairs Havana Lounge at Codonas, Aberdeen.
There will be some really cool caching-related prizes including unique caches and a special geocoin for one lucky person!
One of the other most exciting things of the evening - apart from some amazing facepainting by one of our local cachers - is that I have been given permission to bring the elusive (and rare) Cuckoo Cache along to this event! For those of you who have never heard of this cache, it is a now-discontinued type of cache called a 'travelling cache' which could actually move from one cache to another! (Think somewhat like a cache-sized TB - but with a log!)
We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
