Quick drive by cache outside a local youth camp
This cache is a 5L bucket hidden outside the entrance of a local youth camp placed by Evie, Faith and Emerson.
Many of us have probably attended a school camp or maybe a summer camp at youth camps like this throughout the country. There are many different camps just like this one throughout NZ - scout camps, adventure camps and Christian camps - all are an important introduction to the outdoors.
This particular camp actually has a private geocaching activity with over 40 caches hidden around their camp-site for school camps to complete and has recruited many young players into the game.
Cache is not in the youth camp grounds but placed with permission from resident manager nearby their entrance.
Stealth maybe required at times as you will be in full view of the manager's house and the camp office - if the staff or manager's family spies you just give them a big thumbs up to show what your doing. There is an off road parking lay by for a quick park and grab but be careful as the road is very busy at times.
When placed the cache had several toys and travel bugs along with pen and logbook.
