Located in The DEC run North Lake/South Lake campground ...day use for this park is $5 - bring a swimsuit!
This spot has an approximate elevation of 2425' and has an incredible view of North/South Lake and Catskill mountains ....and as the name suggests is a nice little spot to watch the sunset. The hike is about 1 mile long and increases about 300' feet in elevation -- it is a fairly easy hike however there are a few rock scrambles to go up.
You will pass under the site before the trail actaully winds to the top -- so watch the elevation in addition to the coordinates to be sure you are in the correct spot.
someone painted the words Sunset Rock on the rock ......in order to claim credit email me the the initials that are carved above the words. the initals start out "RSH"... what is the second set of initials

i was out here on 7/5 and the mountain laurel was in full bloom!!! hope you enjoy it!
