The SPCA is a nationwide non-profit organisation that is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals. The Marlborough SPCA was established in 1946 and deals with around 500 surrendered animals each year at their animal centre. They rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abused, neglected and unwanted animals and where appropriate take prosecutions under the Animal Welfare Act.
The Marlborough SPCA is located 12 kms from Blenheim on the far side of Renwick.
Look for the Forrest Estate Winery signage just before Foxes Island Road.
On the south side of Renwick there is a cache called Marlborough Lion Park (GC3NP0Z), the Marlborough RSPCA is actually located at the site of the original Renwick Lion Park which was a small zoo which for a time in the 1980's housed a few 'large cats' and other animals.
There is no need to enter the premises so it is OK to go after this cache on a Monday.
