Many visitors miss the view from the overflow parking lot at Head-Smashed-In. From here you can see the cliff and kill site as well as the camp area where all the meat from the hunt was processed.
This was the end of the road for millions of buffalo. Tricked by the amazing Native hunters, bison fell from the cliff and met their end. For thousands of years the people prepared the meat and made pemican right next to this parking lot.
You can get to the cache by driving to the overflow lot, or park in the regular lot and enjoy a walk on the trail.
