The GEOCACHERS OF EASTERN ONTARIO (GEO), with the support of South Nation Conservation (SNC) , will be running a Cache In Trash Out event on Saturday April 23th, 2016. This cleanup will be focusing on cleaning up pre-selected sites along nearby parks, trails, and pretty much any other public space we can locate in the area in need of a good cleanup!
MEET at 9:00 AM to sign in. Geocachers will be separated (or separate themselves) into groups. These groups will be given a task cleanup site in the general vicinity. We will do our best to match up the difficulty of the pre-selected sites with the ambitiousness of the individual groups. Keep your eyes peeled for geocaches posted in this region just before the event, because "Cache In" is just as fun as "Trash Out"! Dress according to the weather, and with good working clothes, footwear and gloves. SNCITO7 will be held on this day rain or shine!
From 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM there will be a light lunch provided for SNCITO7 volunteers at the posted coordinates. The trash you collected should be put in the pile.
At 1:15 PM we will take the group photo, and some prizes will be awarded. The event officially closes at 2:00 PM.
Please LOG YOUR WILL ATTEND if you think you will be able to make it. Please also indicate how many people are coming with you (only if they are not logging the “Will attend” for themselves). Updates and announcements will be posted here when we get closer to the event.
