This is an easy virtual cache.
This is my first cache.
My Dad died in May 2002. Although he lived out of this area for many years this was his favourite place.
In the 1930's he used to come here on Summer mornings. He would cycle over from Chesterfield, swim, have breakfast and then go home before travelling to Sheffield to work.
In the war he was a navigator with Coastal Command. I never got to show him my GPSr, he would have been fascinated, though he would have grumbled along the lines of.."Huh, Bl**dy h*ll! That's cheating, we only had a sextant, a watch and a set of tables, and our minds!"
E-mail me a photo, or tell me how many bolts hold down each sluice head gear.
PLEASE - when you mail me your answer let me know YOUR email address so I may reply to you -simply tick the box that says "I want to send my email address along with this message."
