On March 14th 2007 I found my first Geocache, it was called Worm's Anyone GCXY6K. I ended up finding 2 caches that day and almost 9,000 in the 9 years since that day. Being my 9th Cacheversary I went out and hid 9 caches.
This is a 3 stage Multi cache. You will start at the posted coordinates next to the 14 Mile House.
The 14 Mile Roadhouse is believed to be the oldest wooden structure and the third oldest structure overall in Sacramento County. It was constructed as a stopover for teamsters who hauled supplies to mining camps in Auburn, Dutch Flat and Virginia City, Nevada. One of the early owners was Joseph Gray. It is believed that Mr. Gray introduced the first grain and grapes to the area. In the early 1900's it was remodeled and given as a wedding gift to a member of the Van Maren family. The Van Marens used the home as a ranch house and successfully farmed the area for 80 years. Four generations of the Van Maren family lived in the home.
In order to find the second stage you will need to gather some info from the sign posted in front of the House.
Stage 2 is located at N 38 40.ABC W 121 19.XYZ
