Das Schweriner Schloss ist in einem 1000-jährigen Prozess historisch gewachsen. Die ringförmige Gestalt geht auf die Wallanlage einer slawischen Burg zurück, die um das Jahr 965 auf einer kleinen ufernahen Insel im Schweriner See errichtet wurde. In der folgenden Zeit bis zum 19. Jahrhundert wurde das Schloss nach den Vorlieben der jeweiligen Herrscher auf- und umgebaut. Die Umbaumaßnahmen waren teilweise so gravierend, dass von den Bauten aus der Zeit es Mittelalters nichts mehr erhalten ist.
The Castle of Schwerin has a long history. The first records of a castle at this location date from AD 973. There was a fort of the Polabian Slav tribe of the Obotrites on an island in the large Lake of Schwerin. Along the following years until the 19th century the castle was altered and rebuild over and over again. The changes were severe. The buildings from the medieval time are vanished completely.

Ihr müsst nun eher in die feuchte düstere Ebene abtauchen und dort suchen, wo sich eine Fledermaus wohlfühlen würde aber bitte nirgends hochklettern und bleibt auf dem Weg.

You will find the cache in the caves of the castle. Look for a place where you expect bats but do not climb on any stone and stay on the footpath.
