Geocache Description:

This is a replacemnt for the original Double Peak/SEH/SC Challenge cache, This is a stand alone cache and can be logged by anyone but feel free to complete the challenge listed below. If you already completed the challenge there is no need to do it all over again.

The Double Peak/San Elijo Hills/Spooks Canyon Challenge

This cache is a traditional without any additional logging requirements so feel free to log your find whether or not you complete the challenge. However if you happen to be one of the few that have either found or hidden every cache on this book marked list then you will also have the esteemed privilege of having your name placed into The Double Peak/San Elijo Hills/Spooks Canyon Challenge Hall of Fame. Just write a note to let me know you have achieved said task.

The Double Peak/San Elijo Hills trail system is home to some of the area’s finest views. The county’s second oldest active geocache is located atop Double Peak Park. At over 1600 feet the 360 degree views are spectacular.

As part of the challenge you will also be tasked to visit Spooks Canyon which includes San Marcos’ very own Mount Whitney and its nearby neighbor, Frank’s Peak, both of which offer splendid views topping out at 1729 ft. and 1680 ft. respectively.

And rounding it all out is San Marcos' latest power trail, the SEH Green Trail.

Because of San Marocs' well-planned trail system you could, theoretically, hike the whole challenge in one long, long trip. However it might be best to break it up into parts.
