If you have never seen a webcam cache then this will be something new and fun to try.
The goal here is to log the cache by capturing an image of yourself with your GPS in front the webcam and then upload it with your log description.
This webcam is overlooking part of the BYU campus.
The new webcam is at this location: N 40 14.743 W 111 38.951. The original stopped working.
Take a look at the webcam with this URL:
http://webcam.byu.edu/index.html
The coordinates to this cache will put you in front of the camera. Have someone with internet access ready to help capture the image and then call them when you are at the location. The picture can usually be captured from the browser by a right-click on the picture then Save Picture As...
To verify that you actually went to the location, stand facing the camera and hold your GPS up for the picture.
Post the photo here when you log the find.
Make sure that the webcam is working before you travel there. As with much of the internet, things go down for short periods of time.
Check out two of my other Geocaches. Fireflies really do exist in many parts of Utah
