Gore Glen Woodland Park is a rehabilitated coal site, which has a system of waymarked paths. The park is predominantly woodland in character after being planted in 1979 with a range of species to enhance the natural setting.
It is set in the heartland of Midlothian's countryside on the banks of the Gore water and river South Esk, below the village of Gorebridge. You may enjoy panoramic views topwards the Pentland Hills, take a stroll round 2 miles of wooded path network or enjoy the peace and tranquility of the former 'Gunpowder Glen'.
