TUVU = Turkey Vulture. Not a “true” raptor as it primarily eats ‘dead things’, but you still don’t want to mess with a Turkey Vulture! One way they defend themselves is by projectile vomiting on their nemesis! And if you think dead stuff smells bad, dead stuff being vomited back up is even worse! There is even a great kid’s book called “I Got Barfed On By A Turkey Vulture”.
This Raptor Series is in honor of Liberty Wildlife moving to the neighborhood! They are the largest wildlife rescue organization in Arizona and you will be able to visit their new facility when it opens Summer of 2016. Come on out and see the wildlife! Both on the trails and indoors.
