The actual area “Mormon Rock” is right off the 138 highway. I’ve never explored that area specifically, the gates are always closed. We always hike the area across the street and it is just as fun. Use caution when climbing any of the rocks they are slippery and there are not a lot to grab onto to break a fall. May be a good idea to have a buddy along for this one. Take lots of water, and wear long pants, bring gloves. I wouldn't advise hiking this area in the heat of the day during the summer month.
