E' possibile cominciare il tour da qualsiasi chiesa ma il mio consiglio è di partire da "Loop1". Naturalmente è possibile anche limitarsi alla ricerca di una singola multicache. Presso ogni chiesa troverete gli indizi per trovare la cache che è nascosta alla chiesa successiva.
La chiesa di S. Vincenzo a Gera Lario
La chiesa romanica di San Vincenzo fu eretta a cavallo dei secoli XI e XII a fianco dell’omonimo torrente, proprio dove un tempo sorgeva una villa romana, e fu ricostruita nel Quattrocento.
Sullo stipite sinistro del portale vi è murata una lapide romana, del III o del IV secolo, sulla quale i genitori ricordano il bimbo “dolcissimo e desideratissimo”.
Durante i lavori di restauro effettuati nel 1964/65, sono stati scoperti, sotto l’abside, un mosaico pavimentale risalente al II secolo e le fondamenta della prima chiesa.
L’interno della chiesa, di gusto rinascimentale, comprende, oltre agli stupendi affreschi della volta raffigurante gli Evangelisti, un Polittico dell’altare maggiore datato 1547.

The church of S. Vincenzo a Gera Lario
The Romanesque church of San Vincenzo was erected between the eleventh and the twelfth centuries alongside the torrent, just where once stood a Roman villa, and was rebuilt in the fifteenth century.
On the left jamb of the portal there is a walled Roman tombstone, from the III or IV century, on which parents remember their child "sweetest and most desired".
During the restoration works carried out in 1964/65, it has been discovered, under the apse, a floor mosaic dating from the II century and the foundations of the first church.
The interior of the church, in Renaissance style, includes, in addition to the beautiful frescoes of the vault depicting the Evangelists, a main altar polyptych dated 1547.
