I first became a fan of the Rangers in the 1980's when I was in middle school. A good friend of my dad's was a former Minor League Pitcher, and was a bachelor at the time. We lived across the street from him, so when he went out of town, I took care of his dogs. In return, he frequently took me to Texas Rangers games at the old ballpark! We always had great seats and I fell in love with baseball during those years.
Over the ensuing years, I could have told you anything you wanted to know about Nolan Ryan and I followed his career closely. I became and still am a huge fan of him and the Texas Rangers! He is still the only player that I've met in person and I have had him autograph four different items while I stood and watched in awe.
