Geocache Description:

The old city of Dubrovnik, being an UNESCO world heritage since 1979, is well worth to have a closer look at. That's why I created this puzzle cache - and sincerely hope, that you're going to enjoy it.

Your task is to find the correct order of the 16 objects shown in the picture below (A-P) and assign each object to a number (1-16).

The number corresponds to the order in which you've passed the object - for instance: if object A on the picture is the 3rd that you have passed on your route designated in the map below, A would be 3, etc.

Of course it will be more fun to solve this riddle in a group - and obviously several eyes see more than just two. Kids usually love this kind of riddle.

The route is roughly one kilometer long, it shouldn't take you more than one hour (provided you're not too much distracted of shops and restaurants on your way ).

Start walking at the header coordinates (starting point) - close to the main entrance near PILE, where many public busses stop. Stroll along the Stradun (Placa Ulica) towards the old clock tower in front of you. Spend a little time on the square in front of the tower, too. Then turn to the left into Ulica Svetog Dominika, yet leave the Dominican Monastery to your right hand side, climb up a few steps, turn immediately to the left again, into Prijeko Ulica and follow it to its end. Having arrived there you should have found all the objects, half of them already before entering the Prijeko. The map below shows your route (it almost gets you back to where you started from - and where you might have to start all over again, should you not have looked closely enough ). In this case I propose you walk the route in the opposite direction this time, this usually helps.

A

At last it's time to do some calculation - to find out, where the cache is hidden and thus win your laurels:

N 42° 38.nnn E 18° 06.eee

nnn = (A*F) – (J*L) – (I*D) + (C*M) + 311

eee = (B*H) + (O*P) + (E*K) + (G*N) + 113

Should you have no internet connection during your stay in Dubrovnik, you can still cross-check your final coords:

The sum of the figures in nnn is 8, in eee it's 12.

Difficulty and Terrain refer to the riddle, not to the cache itself.

It would be lovely, if you upload a picture of yourself - somewhere in the Old Town, but not at the final. THANK YOU!

By the way: Did you know, that Dubrovnik recently was the location for a Star Wars-Film (shown in the cinemas 2017)? In spring 2016 film-team-tents were strewn all over the old city and Security at each and every corner. The old town was even partly closed for the public.

I do hope that this mystery will only be logged from those, who have REALLY solved the riddle (do you know what we mean, when we talk about "cacher's honour"? nobody will praise you for cheating...) - for those, who are just hunting for a quick point: please be so kind and concentrate on traditionals.
