Geocache Description:

My family adopted a portion of highway, in memory of my husband's late grandparents.

We will meet at the posted coordinates, Shoemakers Truck-stop at 9 a.m.

if you want to eat and have fellowship.

The clean up will start at 10:45

with a briefing of our plan and to go over safety.

Please join us in keeping our state clean!!

The section is a three-mile stretch of Highway 6 just West of Emerald from mile marker 304-307.

Cache In Trash Out Week is April 16 - 24

as well as the

GREAT NEBRASKA TRASH - OFF

which runs the entire month of April!

The Nebraska Department of Roads will provide us with

safety vests, trash bags, signage, and will haul away the trash after the cleanup.

You should bring protective clothing, heavy-duty gloves, sunscreen, bug spray and a "grabber tool" if you prefer. I will provide water.

The length of the event will depend on how many people participate, but should be between 2-3 hours.

Everyone is welcome to participate, but those under 15 must have adult supervision.

People unable to walk long distances or confined to a wheelchair can help in the staging area or drive vehicles (please let me know if you are interested in this).

Sorry, no dogs are allowed.

Please post a "Will Attend" so I know how many safety vests will be needed. Indicate in your "Will Attend" if you will be ONLY participating in the clean up.

Also, please note, by participating, you agree to do so at your own risk. The State of Nebraska and event hosts are not responsible for injury or damages.

Those attending CITO Events betweenApril 16-24thwill earn a 2016 CITO

Souvenir for their Geocaching profile!
