TCGT #6 Hector's Casa Traditional Cache

This is one of 12 caches placed on the Trepanier Creek Greenway Trail.  This trail follows the west side of Trepanier Creek from Beach Avenue to where Trepanier Rd. meets the Okanagan Connector 97C.

There was a devestating fire in this area September 2012.  It started where the Okanagan Connector goes over Trepanier Rd and heavy winds blew the fire down towards Peachland.  4 homes were lost.  This area can be dangerous still, especially in high winds as there are still standing burned trees.  Clean-up work is underway. 

Parking: Clements Rd. near Peachland Elementary School, Pincushion Place off 6th Ave, or up on Trepanier Rd where it meets the Okanagan Connector. 

Hector's Casa is an interesting landmark at Hermit's Crossing.  This is where the trail from 6th Avenue meets the trail coming up from Clements Ave.
