Το Κουκούλι είναι ένα όμορφο παραδοσιακό χωριό του Κεντρικού Ζαγορίου χτισμένο σε υψόμετρο 850-900 μέτρων.
Δίπλα στην μικρή πλατεία του χωριού υπάρχει ένα εντυπωσιακό από αρχιτεκτονικής άποψης κτιριακό συγκρότημα, που περιλαμβάνει το εκκλησάκι της Ζωοδόχου πηγής, το παλιό σχολείο το κελί και τρεις βρύσες.
Η Ζωοδόχος πηγή είναι η πρώτη εκκλησία που χτίστηκε στο Κουκούλι γύρω στον 12ο αιώνα. Δίπλα είναι το παλιό σχολειό το οποίο χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως διδακτήριο μέχρι το 1936. Με κοινό μεσότοιχο – δίπλα από το σχολείο είναι το κελί που χτίστηκε γύρω στο 1770. Κάτω από το συγκρότημα υπάρχουν τρεις βρύσες, η βρύση του Μπάσια – Μάνθου , η μεσαία βρύση και η βρύση του Χατζή Βρίτση η οποία χτίστηκε το 1758.
Η κρύπτη βρίσκεται σε αυτό ακριβώς το σημείο με τις βρύσες. (Δείτε την spoiler φωτoγραφία για να μην δυσκολευτείτε στο ψάξιμο ειδικά το καλοκαίρι που ενδεχομένως να υπάρχει κόσμος στην μικρή πλατεία.)

Koukouli is a small picturesque village in central Zagori at an altitude of 850–900m.
Next to the small square there is a group of buildings that is impressive from an architectural standpoint. It comprises the chapel of the Source of Life, the old school, the cellar and three springs. The Source of Life is the first church to have been built in Koukouli, around the 12th century. Next to it is the old school, which was used as an educational facility until 1936. Adjacent to the school, sharing a common wall, is the cellar, which was built around 1770. Below the group of buildings there are three springs: the spring of Basias; the spring of Manthos in the middle; and the spring of Hadzis Vritsis, which was built in 1758.
The cache is hidden at the area with the springs. (see spoiler photo so you won’t find any difficulties searching especially during summer when people may be sitting in the small square.)
