Geocache Description:

02 April 2016, 00:00 - 13:00

......... and we're back in Devon again!

Although we are from the North East we have been visiting the beautiful village of Broadhembury regularly now for nearly 15 years because of a family connection. (I think most of you know now why we come to Broadhembury)..

We have come to love this lovely Devon village tucked away to the south of the Blackdowns Hills and now regard this village as our “our 2nd home.”

We have seen many changes in the last 15 years with friends we knew who have unfortunately passed away or moved from the village and new friends who have moved in.

We hosted our 1st Geocaching event in the village in 2011 and it was a "rip roaring success". So due to repeated requests we hosted another in 2012 and again in 2013, 2014 and 2015.. We ended up hosting two in 2014. We think it's getting a bit of an enjoyable habit!

Therefore we're hosting our first event of 2016 hopefully keep the tradition going. Unfortunately due to other commitments we couldn’t host the event over the Easter Weekend so sorry...

We even have a Multi cache in the village! How about trying it when you come over?

So this is chance for everyone to shrug off the workday blues and relax on a saturday afternoon with a drink and with caching friends or even meet new ones!

It's chance to meet greet and chat over all the caches you can’t find or don’t know where to place or even swap coin numbers.

We will be in the Drewe Arms (hopefully in the Beer Garden if he weather in nice!) on Saturday 2th April from about 12.30pm till about 2.30pm or until we leave (if you want to stay a bit longer we don’t mind as we don’t have far to stagger especially if there’s any Tricky left!)... so pop in and have a drink and a natter with us.

At 2.30pm we'd like to invite everyone to cache with us on the Blackdown's at Knowles Wood. (approx 4 miles away by car). Once you've finished caching (after about 2.5hrs?) we'd like to invite everyone back to The Old Colony for Easter cake and tea. We don't have a very big kitchen so this is dependant on the weather - we'll let you know on the day at the event.

If you would like to come back for tea please can you let us know (so that we can cater correctly). If you coming back to The Old Colony please bring a folding chair just in case you might need it....

We might even let you know the name of the elephant in the tree! You’ll have to see Can you do the Broadhembury Bimble? (GC2DQGE) for that one!

The Drewe Arms does serve food and menu is available from 12.00 noon. The current Menu can be found at this link:

Daniel and Kate our hosts, would like an indication of numbers who might eat, so please mention this in your " will attend" log and we will contact the venue for you on the 30th April and let them know final numbers for people wanting to eat. (We'll use it as an excuse to go to the pub anyway!).

Ooh We should point out that Dogs are welcome at the pub and in our garden providing they are well behaved

See you all there The Lambs @ 9
