Half way along the disused railway between Charlestown and the Lyne Burn is a set of railway points hidden by ivy and brambles. This is also the point at which a gas pipe goes under the Forth, and the point where the electrical supply for the lights warning ships not to anchor over the pipeline is located. (These are the red lights on the two elevated beacons in Ironmill Bay). One of these beacons is also very close to this point.
