To celebrate the 2016 CITO week of 16th - 24th April where we will earn a CITO Souvenir for attending an Event, I have continued the successful link with Portsmouth City Council's Countryside Team to help me host a CITO Event on St George's Day at Fort Widley, Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth, Hampshire.
We have organised 3 previous CITO Events in different parts of Portsmouth and they now suggest we meet at the East Entrance to Fort Widley on Saturday 23rd April 2016.
The Event will take place between approximately 10.00am and 12 noon and a safety briefing will be given by one of the Hilsea Lines Rangers before geocachers are invited to help with environmental work and litter picking so we can make a real difference to the local environment.
As the date coincides with St George's Day, you are invited to come suitably attired in red and white but sadly Dragons will need to wear Green!
If geocachers have gloves, litter pickers etc they are welcome to bring them along.
After the event, there is a well known local food place and a public house close by that can be visited but by all means bring a packed lunch and drink.
