The Puzzle

One night eight of Calgary’s finest geocachers were sitting around partaking in a friendly game of Texas Holdem poker. The game had been going on for a couple of hours when everyone’s phones started going off with notifications. It seems that greatbigdiddy had released a brand new cache with a Difficulty/Terrain rating of 5/1  The cache was located only 114 metres from where this big poker match was taking place. Everyone looked up at each other with a weird look in their eyes. No one said a word but they were all thinking hmm how will I beat all these other cachers to the FTF.  Just then the person whose turn it was to deal spoke up with an idea.

The dealer suggested that they play an old school hand of straight up 5 card stud with no draws to determine who would get to leave and go find the cache. The rest of the players agreed but they decided that everyone should eventually have a chance to go search not just the winner. The group quickly came up with a plan that the player who was dealt the best hand would get to leave first and who ever had the 2nd best hand could leave and start searching 5 minutes later followed by the player with the 3rd best hand 5 minutes after that and so on every 5 minutes until the player with the worst hand would be allowed to come join the search 35 minutes after the winner first left to start searching.

The dealer shuffled the cards and handed the deck to the player to their left who then cut the deck exactly in half placing the bottom half on top then gave the cards back to the dealer. They were about to start dealing when the player to the right said that they wanted to cut the deck as well, the dealer then handed the deck to them and they proceeded to cut the deck exactly one quarter the way down and then put those cards on the table they then took the top two thirds of the remaining cards and moved them to the bottom and then set that portion down as well then they picked up the cards they had originally set down on the table and placed them back on the top of the deck and handed it back to the dealer. Finally the dealer started dealing the cards starting with the player to the left. Once all the players had their 5 cards everyone laid down their hands and all was revealed.

To solve the puzzle you must identify the players and the order in which they were allowed to leave the table. Once you have determined that you will need to enter the players geocaching names in order as a keyword into the geochecker below if you are correct you will receive the mystery coordinates to the cache location. The names must be entered exactly as they appear on geocachingdotcom (minus any spaces in their names) also you must put a dash between each of the player’s names and remember no spaces.
