Last year, 9 of us went in search of my favorite Owl, The Bard Owl. You can look them up on Youtube to get a feel for their beautiful song. Maybe if we are quiet enough, we may get the hear one. Screech & Barn Owl's are pretty common here too. Cincy parks require notice of group outings over 20 people, so we want to limit this group to the first 15 that want to go. If we have too many folks that will push us over that limit, we will have to split up and form 2 groups, but I don't expect to have that problem.
Driving Directions from Downtown Cincinnati, I 75 North, Exit at I74 West, Go about 1.25 miles, exit on Montana Ave turn Left. Go to first light and turn left and find a parking spot.
From the North, I75 exit at I74 and follow directions from downtown.
From the West, I 74 exit to N. Bend Road, turn right. Go about 1.5 miles to Westwood Northern Blvd ( UDF on corner )turn left. Go to second light ( Montana Ave ) turn left. go 1/4 mile to first light, Anaconda Dr. turn right and park where available.
The hike will go until around 10:00pm or we get tired of hunting Owl's and want to go get an Ice Cream or a Burrito or something. If your taste buds are a little off shall we say ( like mine ) an ice cream burrito sounds even better.
This Should be fun. Mud optional
