Ik ben een grote fan van Scandinavische TV-series en seizoen 1 van The Bridge (Bron-Broen) is een van mijn top favorieten. In deze serie staat de Øresundsbron (Sontbrug) centraal

Bron (Zweeds), Broen (Deens), buiten Scandinavië uitgebracht als The Bridge (De brug), is een Deens-Zweedse tv-misdaadserie die in beide landen speelt en waarin beide talen worden gesproken. De titel verwijst naar de Øresundsbron die Denemarken en Zweden verbindt.
De serie werd voor het eerst uitgezonden op 21 september 2011 door SVT in Zweden en op 28 september 2011 door DR in Denemarken. In Vlaanderen was de serie vanaf 1 september 2012 elke zaterdag te zien en de tweede reeks in het najaar van 2014 telkens op Canvas. Tijdens de beginleader klinkt het nummer Hollow talk van de Deense band Choir Of Young Believers.
Remakes
In 2013 verscheen een Brits-Franse remake onder de titel The Tunnel. Hierin wordt het lijk niet gevonden op de Sontbrug, maar midden in de Eurotunnel tussen Frankrijk en Engeland. Aan het scenario werd meegeschreven door de oorspronkelijke schrijver Hans Rosenfeldt. De hoofdrollen worden gespeeld door de Britse acteur Stephen Dillane als inspecteur Karl Roebuck en Clémence Poésy als zijn Franse collega Elise Wassermann.
De Amerikaanse remake (The Birdge VS) met Diane Kruger als detective Sonya Cross en Demian Bichir als Marco Ruiz speelt zich af rond de grensovergang tussen El Paso en Juarez.

I am a big fan of Scandinavian TV-series and season 1 of The Bridge is one of my top favorites. The Øresundsbron has a central place in this thriller series.

The Bridge (Danish: Broen; Swedish: Bron) is a Scandinavian crime drama television series created and written by Hans Rosenfeldt. It is a joint creative and financed production between Sveriges Television of Sweden and Danmarks Radio of Denmark, as well as German ZDF and has been shown in over 100 countries.
Three series of the show have so far been broadcast, starring Sofia Helin as Swedish police detective Saga Norén. Kim Bodnia was her Danish counterpart, Martin Rohde, in the first and second, and Thure Lindhardt was her counterpart, Henrik Sabroe, in the third. During the leadin plays the song Hollow talk from the Danish band Choir of Young Believers. The first season started with a police investigation following the discovery of a dead body on the Øresund Bridge connecting Sweden and Denmark. It was broadcast on the Swedish SVT1 and Danish DR1 during the autumn of 2011 and on the United Kingdom's BBC Four in spring 2012.
Remakes
In January 2013, sister production companies Kudos and Shine France announced a joint Franco-British production called The Tunnel. The plot involves the discovery of the body of a French politician at the half-way point of the Channel Tunnel between France and England. It began airing in October 2013, on Sky Atlantic in the UK and Canal+ in France.
In late July 2012, US network FX ordered a pilot episode to be made of the series for an American audience. It is set in the US and Mexico, between El Paso and Juárez, and the discovery of a body on the border of the two countries sets the story in motion. The series starred Diane Kruger as U.S. Detective Sonya Cross, Demián Bichir as Mexican Detective Marco Ruiz. On 12 February 2013, Deadline.com announced that FX had picked up drama series The Bridge for a 13-episode order. It began filming in April and premiered on 10 July 2013, the 13-episode first season airing until 2 October.
