Robert Emmets is a small South Dublin GAA Club, based in Greenhills/Perrystown nestled between Walkinstown, Templeogue, Terenure, Kimmage and Crumlin. It provides Gaelic football for men and women right through to nursery for boys and girls.
Club football is the beating heart of the GAA across the country and on Saturdays and Sundays Greentrees Park - known locally as the Eight Acres, the site of a disused and filled-in quarry - is alive with cheers and shouts as Robert Emmets teams do battle to score points and goals. At Robert Emmets coaching is provided at all levels and children learn in an environment which encourages confidence and skills development.
Football is a fun team sport were kids learn new skills and make new friends. You will find younger members of team GoldCircle playing here on Saturday mornings!
The Eight Acres is also home to Manortown FC and the local Community Centre where all manner of classes take place. The carpark also has a recycle bring centre, so feel free to bring your glass and old clothing for recycling.
The Cache
The cache is small magnetic micro - nothing fancy. YOU ABSOLUTELY WILL NEED A TWEEZERS. You might also need a long reach to get it, or one of the thorns mentioned in the attributes might get you. When re-placing the cache, please be aware of its colour!
