We are holding a CITO (Cache In Trash Out) event at the beautiful Pandapas Pond just west of Blacksburg, VA on Rt. 460. Pandapas Pond is an eight acre man-made pond located on the eastern Continental Divide. The pond is situated in a hardwood forest. Rhododendron and flame azalea are abundant. The trail around the pond is less than a mile long and suitable for wheelchairs. The trail encircles both the pond and the adjacent wetland. Boardwalk and bridges allow hikers a close look at the aquatic life in the riparian area. There are numerous points along the trail that provide good fishing access. As well as the immediate pond area there are numerous loop trails that circle through the adjoining hardwood forest for hikers and horseback riding.
We will meet at the large main parking lot which is further in from the entrance and is near the pond. The first parking lot right at the entrance is usually used for horse trailers but we will probably CITO this area also. This CITO event will also qualify you to acheive a CITO souvenir for your home page.
DATE: Saturday, April 23, 2016
LOCATION: Pandapas Pond, Blacksburg, VA
TIME: Meet at 12:00 noon in the main parking lot.
EVENT: To last at least two or three hours.

WE ENCOURAGE GEOCACHERS WHO ARE NEW TO THE SPORT TO COME OUT AND JOIN US! We would love to meet you. Put a face to those names that you see in the log reports or meet the people who own the caches that you have been finding. We hope for a beautiful spring day but we all know that April showers bring May flowers. We will hold this CITO event rain or shine. Look forward to seeing all of you on the 23rd.
Cache on, my friends, cache on!
