Here's a list of four composers. All you need to do is identify them, and what connects them.
A can genuinely be regarded as a tower in the music world. A child prodigy from the Classical era who astonishingly, at the age of 6, was playing in front of the Imperial Court in Vienna. His musical output is both huge and widely celebrated, though Eine Kleine Nachtmusik must be about the most popular slot on a certain classical radio station.
B was born in Poland and is unusual amongst composers in that almost all of the works he wrote were for the solo piano, shunning other musical customs of the time. Amongst his most famous works are the 24 Etudes. He spent most of his life in Paris, where he died in 1849.
C composed 28 operas over a period of 54 years. Though Italian, he was a fervent admirer of Shakespeare, and made operas out of three of his plays. In 1847, he spent some time in London where Queen Victoria was present at the premiere of I masnadieri, before his departure to Paris for whose Opera House he adapted I Lombardi.
D was a Russian composer born in 1891 but spent the years after World War I in the USA and Paris where he composed ballets such as Romeo and Juliet (1935). He returned to Russia for good in 1936; following his arrival home he composed one of his most famous works, Peter and the Wolf.
Once you have worked out each of the composers, I'd like you to connect them and thus associate three letters with each.
E = the total word value (using A=1, B=2 etc) of the three letters associated with A.
F = the total word value...... B
G = the total word value...... C
H = the total word value...... D
J = the total word value of the connecting word (in its plural form)

Where Y = G x (F + H - E) and Z = E + F + G + H + J

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
