Spooked - 5 Aston Lane Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Barking Collies: ==Cache Note==
Sad to archive this as there aren't many Spooked caches around now (there were 19), but with many DNFs I will have to archive. Thanks to all who visited.

==ARCHIVE NOTE==
Thank you to all who have visited this cache over the past few years. Unfortunately I no longer have time to maintain all my caches. I think I was too focussed on the quantity of caches I placed, rather than the quality. In hindsight, I would have liked to have hidden regular or large containers in very scenic locations, rather than magnetic micro caches in grim parts of town.

If I have time in future, I may consider hiding a few caches in the countryside with lots of room for swaps.

Geocache Description:

This is the first cache in the 'Spooked' series, a series of caches at creepy feeling or supposedly haunted places. Obviously you don't need to believe in ghosts to be able to enjoy the caches.

From Paranormal Database:

Location: Hope - Aston Lane, near the railway bridge, skies over
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: April 1995
Further Comments: Witness Tony Ingle watched a totally silent aircraft fly past him, a mere 15 meters above the ground, before it dived behind a hill. Expecting to find the crash site, Mr Ingle investigated but found nothing there.

The cache is a small pot with room for swaps but BYOP. Please replace exactly as found and rehide well, complete with stickflage. At GZ, you can see trains passing onthe Hope Valley Line.

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
