Geocache Description:

A small well hidden cache near the over 100 year old Lake Montebello Pumphouse.

Watch out for the many muggles that will be around at almost anytime of the year. This is a great place for walking, riding a bike or running around the lake. A beautiful and stylish old building is where you will find the cache near. Its probably best to look for this cache during daylight hours, although, it is not prohibited to be there at night. Good luck and take a little bit of time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings!

Some Brief History:

Lake Montebello has been in existence since 1881, but on Sept. 13, 1915, City leaders dedicated the first Montebello Water Filtration Plant, where more than 5,000 citizens gathered on a very hot day. There was a two-hour ceremony to recognize the significant step of purifying our drinking water. Baltimore’s Mayor at that time, James H. Preston, called it “the most important event that has taken place in my time.” - See more at: http://www.belair-edison.org/2015/09/08/lake-montebello-centennial/#sthash.Tv2rn7Ib.dpuf
