GCCO Presents: Geocaching 101 Event Cache

An event that will be a seminar-style session specifically designed for new geocachers who want to learn more about the game / hobby / sport.

Come join us from 1:30 - 3:30 on April 10th at the Penrose Library for a Geocaching 101 session aimed at informing new geocachers about the various aspects of geocaching. Everyone is welcome to attend: new geocachers, veterans, and non-cachers alike. So, bring your friends and neighbors who may also be interested to learn what it's all about.

Main topics that will be discussed include:

• Geocache Containers

• Hiding Geocaches

• GPS and Smartphone Use

• Logging your Finds Online

• Types of Geocaches (puzzles, multis, virtuals, wherigos, etc.)

• Geocaching Terms

• Trackable Items (Travel Bugs, Geocoins, etc.)

• Hosting your Own Event

• Q & A Session
